Screw the word “mutual”. I don’t think mutual break-ups are ever truly even. Whether or not the other party knows, one side always ends up wanting more. Or they wanted to break up less than the other person. This is not something that is wrong or unfair, but is a sad thing to deal with. The person with feelings left unsaid is going to constantly be wondering if they still cross their ex’s mind. Avoiding thoughts of the past gets tiring, seeing them everywhere doesn’t help either, and they can’t seem to escape. So what to do? How do they get over them? Time. Time will heal a broken heart. Add chocolate to speed up recovery.
